How much does a skip bin cost?
Prices vary for skip bins, dependent on the size of the bin, how long you need it for, and what sort of waste you’ll be removing. You’ll see some options on our Pricing page, but feel free to contact us for a customised quote, based on your specific requirements.
-
How long does it take to get a skip bin?
Generally we can get a bin to you on the same day, however it does depend on demand. We’d prefer if you booked at least 24 hours in advance, and even more during holiday periods as demand often increases.
-
What can I throw in the skip bin?
Builder’s waste (including metal, steel, tiles, bricks, tiles, aluminium and gypsum board), green waste (including grass clippings, tree branches, stumps and clippings), and household rubbish (including toys, books, furniture, boxes, electronic equipment). are all fine to go in our bins.
-
What can’t we throw in the skip bin?
For the safety of our team and the environment, we don’t allow asbestos, paints, liquids, chemicals, tyres, batteries and food stuff to be disposed of in our bins.
-
What size skip bin do I need?
There are many different sized skip bins and estimating what size you need is not easy, especially if the rubbish is scattered around your house or garden. The best way to estimate what size skip bin you’ll need is to try to imagine all of your rubbish in one pile and then figure out the volume like this: length x width x height = cubic metres.
For example: 1.5 x 2 x 1.8 = 5.4 cubic metres
You would therefore need a 6 cubic metre skip bin.
-
When should I hire a skip bin rather than use my normal bin?
If you are keen to declutter your home, doing a renovation project, ready to undertake a spring clean or do a big garden makeover it’s wise to hire a skip bin. Ordinary green waste and general waste bins fill up very fast once you get on a roll! We’ll deliver it to your doorstep and pick it up when you’re finished – no need to wait until council pickup day. There are many benefits to decluttering your home, so if it’s time to reclaim some space and improve your lifestyle and wellbeing, hire a skip bin today and get started!
-
Where will the bin be placed when dropped off?
We like to place the bin in your property if possible, such as your front lawn or driveway, to allow for easy access. If this isn’t possible we’ll place it on your nature strip but we mustn’t block any pedestrian access.
-
Can I move the bin once it’s placed down?
No. Moving the bin may mean we can’t easily pick it up with our truck when it’s time to take it away.
-
What suburbs do you service?
Enviro Skip Bins services the Mornington Peninsula, from Sorrento to Somerville, Frankston to Flinders and everywhere in between!
